When you have a small fleet or even a single vessel you may not be able to justify employing someone full time to manage your medical operations.
Or perhaps you are struggling to find the expertise needed to ensure you get the attention to detail needed. Then our Virtual Medical Practice Manager is for you. This is by far our most popular service because companies want the personal touch and they want to know that the team supporting them are fully abreast of all of their requirements at all times.
We can take away the stress of medical support for you with this service.
This service is tailored to your vessel. With our 24/7/365 operational and clinical support services we will develop a unique service level agreement for your vessel(s).
We are with you every step of the way.
Do you have an upcoming audit or are you worried that your medical operations have not been updated for a while and you are not sure what they should look like?
This is a desktop scrutinisation of your medical policies and procedures, back up with a report to ensure you are providing current clinical and maritime specific guidance.
All you have to do is send us a link to the documents for review and we will do the rest.
You will feel more confident about your medical provision and we will make sure that you have the resources available to continue to support your crew.
Our superyacht clients tend to come to us looking for additional services that enable them to ensure they are meeting all the international regulations for the provision of medical care.
Often we will be asked to come and conduct an audit or some onboard training including STCW courses and we are regularly asked to do a medical kit acquaint with the whole crew. Onboard training really enhances the lessons learnt in STCW courses and brings a real sense of confidence that takes the crews medical response to the next level.
Because we provide all the equipment for these sessions we will bring out replicas of what you have onboard which will give you the ultimate confidence when accessing your own kit.
Red Square Medical are proud members of the Superyacht Training Group and work with the other members to provide support and training that is above and beyond basic compliance.
We love training and we want to help you fulfill your training requirements in a way that takes all the stress out of it for you.
Why not get in touch and we can arrange a discovery call to see how we can help you.
All of our instructors have extensive offshore experience so the training is relatable to your role and vessel. They will challenge you to find solutions for potential situations in your world.
They are used to dealing with everything from coughs and colds right through to cardiac arrests.
Having sea experience also means that they are able to relate to the unique environment that you find yourself in when things go wrong on board.
We also supply training centres with first aid and medical instructors so they don't need to employ someone permanently if they are not regularly running courses.

* Red Square Medical are literally industry leaders and true experts in their field. Over the years, we have built a trusted relationship with Liz and her team. They have a deep understanding of our needs and they not only meet, but exceed our expectations 100% of the time.
* They offered a truly customised service along the entire incident chain e.g. how/where to rescue, where things can happen, how to store medicals to reach efficiently.
When asked what really stood out about the experience with Red Square Medical:
* The constant hands on practice throughout the day and looking at emergencies that are specific to sea based professions and learning how best to deal with them using the tools we have available.
* The instructors, they were so easy to talk to. Really knew their information and brought it across the team in a pleasant way. They were very hands on and very great with getting everyone involved.
* I have had 3 medical trainings on board so far and today, was without any doubt, the most informative and entertaining session.
* I have been at sea for 15 years. This is the best training I’ve received bar none!
When asked what were the key takeaways for you and your crew from this course?
* The knowledge that everyone can step in and be the first responder for a situation, not to rely on the fact we have a fantastic nurse onboard.
* Teaching the HoDs how to gather the information correctly for injuries/illnesses/complaints in order to be most efficient when handing over to professional medical care.
When asked what would you like to see done differently next time?
* Nothing, just keep doing what you do, I have had positive feedback from crew all week. The other day one of the engineers ran a fake emergency, and the crew reacted exactly as you had shown them, it was very impressive.
* Nothing at all. We all got to try out everything which was great to build confidence. Great work!
What our STCW clients say about our team:
* Liz and her team show extremely high levels of professionalism whenever they teach and act on behalf of our business.
* The skill set they offer is the best we have seen in the maritime industry.
What the delegates say about our instructors:
* Excellent, well presented course. Instructor fully engaged with the group and got the best out of them.
* Friendly open environment where anything could be asked and a professional answer would be given.
* Excellent lecturer. Course content very relevant to sea going operations.
* What stood out most for me was Rob's ability to hold the room. At no time was the course ever boring, in fact I would say it was the most enjoyable course I have ever attended.
* Plenty of hands on and interactive experience. Instructor is clearly passionate about the subject matter and has a vast knowledge of theory and real world experience.
* The best short course I’ve attended in over 23 years at sea. The instructor was simply brilliant and very knowledgeable. Course content and pace was excellent. I will gladly recommend to all.
* I have just got home from my MCA Medical Care at Sea renewal with Liz Baugh and her colleague. I just wanted to put on record how impressed I was with Liz’s teaching. Her delivery was enthusiastic, always entertaining and engaging and full of an obvious depth of knowledge clearly driven by years of front line experience. I instruct for a living and so I think I recognise good teaching when I see it. A well paced course; efficient, useful and encouraging every minute of every day. I can’t recommend Liz and your facility enough and I will be recommending Viking to my colleagues.
